How we work
A fence that lasts starts with understanding the ground it stands in. We assess the site, plan the build, then keep you informed until the final walkthrough.

Evaluating your site
Before we quote, we walk the line and read the site. Slope, soil, water and wind all change how a fence should be built — so we design for them instead of hoping they don't matter.
We measure rises and falls across the run so posts stay plumb and panels follow the ground without creating gaps or awkward steps.
Where a fence must sit above or behind a wall, we check load paths and fixings so the wall isn't overstressed by wind or ground pressure.
Low-lying or clay-heavy ground holds water. In those spots we dig deeper footings and use concrete posts or gravel boards to keep the panel clear of the wet.
Loose, made-up or recently disturbed soil needs longer posts and sometimes additional bracing or postcrete depth beyond the standard 600mm.
Exposed gardens and gaps between buildings act as wind tunnels. We reinforce frames, reduce panel heights where needed, and specify stronger fixings.
Your project, step by step
We decide whether the job is a repair, a replacement on existing posts, or a full strip-out with new groundwork. That shapes the quote, the schedule and the materials.
We plan how to get materials to the rear of the garden, where to park, and whether skips or grab wagons are needed so the first day starts smoothly.
You get a start date and an expected finish date before work begins. If the weather turns, we tell you the same day — not after a no-show.
No outdoor power? We bring generators. No tap access? We carry water for cutting and mixing. The job doesn't stop because of the garden's utilities.
The lead installer who quoted the job is the one on site. You get daily updates and a single point of contact for any questions or changes.
We inspect the line with you, check gates, catches and post alignment, then tidy and remove waste before signing off.
